Welcome to the Department of Basic Science and Humanities (BS&H)

The Department of Basic Sciences& Humanities of SVCET was established right from the inception of the college. The Department offers the basic and applied courses in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics andEnglish to the under graduate studentsof Engineering&Technology.

The Department is committed to laying strong fundamentals in the minds of young students to take up advanced courses in the subject of their specialization.

The Department has well-qualified and competent faculty to impart sound technical knowledge in all aspects. Further, the faculty members of the department are fully engaged in various research activities in the fields of their specialization. The faculty updates themselves by attending conferences/workshops/symposiums and is mostly committed and dedicated to communicating their research findings in the journals of repute.

Almost all the faculty members of the department are senior and experienced and some of them are pursuing Ph.D. Most of them are ratified by JNTUK Kakinada. Our infrastructural facilities include buildings, classrooms, laboratories, library, playground, and all related facilities available in our department.

Our library contains a good number of textbooks, reference books, study materials, and magazines. Our labs and workshops are adequately equipped with the latest and sophisticated equipment to meet the needs of the curriculum as per AICTE norms.
